Highlights for me tonight were Balthazaar (Bent introduced it by saying something like “last time I talked to Ole (Paus ed.note), at the backstage of Rockefeller, he said he was ready to make a new album, three days later he was gone. Here’s a song to him.”), Pacific, Oracle, Alchemyst (must be the heaviest version I’ve heard), Patterns and Gullible.
Before The Tower Bent said he thought it was kind of a bummer to play/write a song that has ended up becoming true. And continued to say he might be a fortune teller, winked and called himself “Snåsakalljen”.

Agree with everything toresan said. Also want to add that the version of Lady May was really good. Still think the versions they played at Blitz in the original key with Järmyr can’t be beat, but with that Snah/Reine guitar interplay one can’t complain. Also agree that The Alchemyst was SPECTACULAR (best version I ever heard)
A bit disappointed they only played 3 tracks from the new album. Especially Stash and the title track which they just sorta rushed through in the beginning.
Also setlist kinda same-y. This is like the 3rd Oslo club concert in a row to repeat Ghost, Patterns and GT.
First ever MP concert for me on a Sunday, so that was a new experience

This was the 3rd gig in 3 days for me. Little hat trick with Hamar, Halden and Oslo.
Hamar and Halden were both a lot more poppy, with Starmelt/Hey Jane/No Evil/Sinful, Windborne.
Oslo last night was intense and jammy in comparison. Also seems like they have properly fallen back into kraut mode with Olaf. More Gebhardt than Kapstad, lets say.

Looked like a lot of fun yesterday. Any chance there’s a recording?

@Blashyrkh: I wish I could tell you that I recorded the show, but, unfortunately, a few minutes before the start of the concert a guy from the security took my recorder. Hopefully, someone else had better luck and was able to record the show.

Powerful gig!
Highlights for me was the Alchemyst, Lady may (never cared much for the studio version, but this was something else) and Gullible’s! Almost every song had a great jam.
My least favourite moment tho was Gaia II, which had some awful AI generated retro scifi visuals going on i the background. I’m honestly shocked they would even consider using something so cheap and distasteful! Goes against everything they’re about, I’d say.
And Olaf is a grooving and stable drummer, but on songs like The Tower I think he leaves a lot to be desired. I’m so used to those wild fills from the record

Must say I agree with the Gaia visuals. No big deal, but that was a bit strange…
