Oh Lord… How to start?
Maybe it is best to start with a disclaimer: I have been and I am still pretty stoned right now. But since I honestly believe that this helps you to pimp your synapses for a better reception of music, I guess this isn’t the worst constitution for a Motorpsycho concert.
Anyway. This concert might have been the best I have been to ever. The Set list, the sound, the arrangements… Damn… Snahs Gituar had an attack I never had heard at an MP Concert before. Children of the Grave as Tribute to Ozzy, who died a few days ago, perfect. Balthazar and Psychonaut, maybe my new favourites. Rock Bottom as perfect fit for the Venue. And then the story of Ingvald, told by the announcer before the concert. He, who was there in 2008 at the first MP Show at Herzberg. Saying, that this, his first MP Show ever, had has changed his life forever and that the todays show is kind of his journey coming full circle. I remember the show in 2008 with Kenneth at the drums. Feels cool to know that I have been there back then end seeing the show tonight.
Somebody fill in the Set plz. I go to bed… CU

Holy Moly…Holla die Waldfee!
That seemed to be a helluva fun! I’ve already seen a few pics, the four “Norskmen” (ok, one swedish…)And the info that they played Überpilgrim. But nothing else, yet. Seen them all four times before there and it was always a magical night.
2008 had a horrible sound, but it was there I got “on the bus”. So I went to the epic show in Bielefeld a few weeks later. 2011 was that misty mountain hop thing, 2015 the first time together with dear Lars and 2018 the Herzberg Wheel…
But this seems to be completely nutz!
Well…let’s see what we get to hear…at least two tapers were present. And promised me a recording…

Ok… i try to put the setlist together. Not sure about the order of songs
Lurker
Über/Pilgrim
Go to California
Stanley
Up/Down
Balthazar
Psychonaut
Mountain
Hyena
Core Memory Corrupt
The Quick Fix
Children of the Grave
Encore: Rock Bottom
Heavy as hell. Channeling W.Ash, UFO, Kiss, Mountain, Doors and whoever to send Ozzy off. Rather straight heavy rock setlist – good for the occasion. Obviously not much jamming involved. I’m looking forward to the recordings…
Again, superb setlist…Waether conditions were good, so a bit of CAL feeling…surfing the moon.
Up/Down the hills of the holy Herzberg MOUNTAIN…
Rock Bottom, ok…but I wonder if they’ll one day play “Astronomy” (BÖC). Hey Bent…
Hey Bent, should you think of covering “Astronomy”, just remember Metallica already did that quite successfully. And don’t you think “Flaming Telepaths” better fits your vocal style? And the song’s crescendo is Motorpsycho before there was a Motorpsycho…
;-)

Go to California
Balthazaar
Upstairs – Downstairs
Core Memory Corrupt

Yes, we both discussed a few BÖC songs, how about “7 Screaming Dizbusters”??? At least it should be one from the first three BÖC albums. Those were all phenomenal!
A recording of this show aired on Deutschlandfunk yesterday, cut down to one hour: https://www.deutschlandfunk.de/motorpsycho-nor-100.html
Upstairs-Downstairs hit right home for me …
There’s also a longer version available for streaming online. I haven’t checked if it is the complete show (it’s 98 minutes). Also I don’t know for how long it will be available for streaming. A friend told me one week. Unfortunately it’s not downloadable …
