I don't know Rock Bottom. Where is that from?
It is a coverversion (an UFO song). This is really a surprise. It was played in 1991 five times but unfortunately there are no recordings of those five performances:
Molde 01.05.1991
Oslo 04.05.1991
Trondheim 17.05.1991
Trondheim 27.05.1991
Røros 29.05.1991
@ Juergen. Thanks UFO!! I was never a fan, even though I did see them at Hammersmith Odeon back in the early-mid 80s. I've probably even heard this song. Must check it out.
Rockbottom sounds to me like a typical MP rocksong, nice cover, guys from UFO! (I'm not into time, man!)
Anyways, a nice rocketship to launch Snah up towards The Infinite. Very much looking forward to Alkmaar, later!
Haha, so Rock Bottom is that old UFO song then? Cool!
It's from the same album (Phenomenon, 1974) as their other signature tune, Doctor Doctor.
Those songs have probably been played to death on every respectable classic rock radio station
@ JERO – I'm looking forward to Alkmaar too. Starting to get pretty excited
Some visual evidence:
The video with Manmower/Cloudwalker is pretty damn cool!
Can't see these videos Have they been posted anywhere else?
Just watched some of it on youtube, seems like they travel light this time; no background projection, no vintage lights, no keyboards. Just 3 great musicians, guitars drums and voices, and er well…lots of pedals and effects. Of course, both Bent & Snah are known to have four arms and three legs…Manmower; such a beautiful melody that hits me right in the soul everytime…the Tower songs: interesting developments and improvs. This is what the band, to me, is about; already sailing a great ship they explore unknown waters every time, and what a privilege it is for the listener to sail along!
